IM-Worm

Malware capable of self-replicating in instant messaging systems, such as Facebook Messenger, Skype, or WhatsApp.

For this purpose, worms send messages to the victim’s contacts with a URL link to a file containing the body of the worm. This is almost the exact same distribution method used by Email-Worms.
