Smishing

A cyber​​attack in which a malicious link is sent in a text message to direct the victim to a malicious site or to download malware onto the device. Cybercriminals try to deceive the recipient by imitating messages from banks, stores, or government agencies, as well as through social engineering techniques using information they have about the owner of the phone.
