The PaaS provider supplies the client with a fully configured platform (hardware, OS, DBMS) where all necessary application software can be deployed. Unlike the IaaS model, it is the provider who manages the infrastructure, and when a platform is outsourced, the exact specification is not usually critical and may not be stipulated. Moreover, the computing capacities can dynamically change depending on the needs of the particular user.
